Change

Original 5-25-10

Edited 5-16-22

Look at change as an opportunity to grow, to be more like Jesus.

We collect our change every day. Empty our pockets into a jar. Sooner or later, we empty the jar and count it. What began as a couple of coins could be a lot of money.

What if we collect the change in our lives, the changes we make as we grow and learn. If we continue to make changes, we will become of great value. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus tells us that if God looks after the birds, are we not of more value than they? And in Romans 8:16-17, we are told that we are the children of God. As His children, we are joint-heirs with Christ. Now that’s a nice change.

2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us; when we join with Christ, we become new creations. Our old selves are gone and our new-selves arrive. How great this is, to be made new. A new creation. We can have that new life smell.

So don’t worry about what was and what used to be. Look forward to your life in Christ. Keep collecting your change and watch as God multiplies it daily. Watch as our change becomes blessings without measure, and we become more like Christ each day.
