Not Go, But As You Go

We were studying the Great Commission in Sunday School. I was listening to the weekly podcast that goes with the study guide. The writer said the translation of the verb didn't mean to get up and go teach but rather teach as you go.
I started thinking about it. That's what Jesus did, so of course, that's what it meant. Jesus didn't quietly walk from one venue to another. No, Jesus was teaching as we went.
In John 3:1-21, Jesus was in Jerusalem for Passover. He was going on His way when Nicodemus sought Him out. As they left to go to Judea, He stopped to baptize. As He headed to Galilee, He went through Samaria and met a woman at a well (John 4:1-42). As He arrived in Galilee, a wealthy nobleman, whose daughter was ill, came to him (John 4:46-34). Jesus didn't go to minister. Jesus ministered as He went.
What better example of evangelism could we give? NOBODY BUT JESUS.
